Verification before keys
NIN match, address and guarantor visit, phone history, interview, and a practical skills test in a real flat. We do not place anyone we have not watched work.
Nigeria has over 200 million people, and families still cannot find a housekeeper, cook or nanny they trust. HomeReady is a domestic staff academy: we train adults, certify them, verify them, and place them — with a replacement promise if it goes wrong.
Informal agents still recruit from villages, take a cut of wages, and skip identity checks. A two-day “orientation” is not a profession. HomeReady is the layer in between: a standard families can ask for, and a career workers can hold.
NIN match, address and guarantor visit, phone history, interview, and a practical skills test in a real flat. We do not place anyone we have not watched work.
Hygiene, Nigerian and continental home cooking, childcare, laundry, etiquette, money boundaries, and what to do in a medical emergency. Assessed, not assumed.
Workers are adults, paid directly, given a written contract, a rest day and a wage floor. Exploitation is how theft and absconding get trained into the system.
Imported competence is a luxury product. Local untrained help is a gamble. HomeReady sits in the gap families actually live in.

Salary bands are 2026 market guides for Abuja and Lagos, not a quote. Filipino ranges follow published agency advertising of about $800–$1,200 a month. Placement fees are separate from salary.
Training happens in a furnished practice home. Trainees cook, clean, launder, and run childcare drills. English for the workplace is included. No one under 18 is enrolled.

Live-out housekeeper ₦80,000 · live-in nanny ₦100,000 plus food and a private sleeping space · home cook ₦100,000 · household manager ₦180,000. Island and expatriate homes sit higher. A rest day is not optional.
Most ads say background-checked and mean a phone call. This is the file we build before a graduate is offered to a home.
If you are 18 or older and want household work that pays you — not your uncle, not an agent — this is the route.
Duties, live-in or live-out, children, diet, estate rules, budget. We decline briefs that ask for a minor or an illegal wage.
Two or three graduates. You meet them at our practice home or by video. No surprise drop-off at your gate.
Written duties, rest day, salary date. We call you and the worker on day 3 and day 14.
Every graduate leaves with a named certificate: track, date, assessor and a number the academy can look up. These four are samples from the pilot register, not blank templates.

Employers get a shortlist of people who already hold a numbered certificate. Trainees sit the practical before a name is written on one. Message us on WhatsApp: +1 647 504 6845.
